Following a DWI conviction you were offered an opportunity to drive during your probationary sentence with the installation of an ignition interlock in your vehicle. This privilege may be in lieu of license suspension, license revocation or incarceration. Installing the Interceptor M-1 interlock is the smartest, most logical and most inexpensive option you could choose! It will enable you to continue driving, which in most cases your very lively hood and family support depends upon.

• Real Time Automatic Downloading - With the M-1 all downloading is performed automatically, as the events take place. The only thing you have to do is drive your car normally, the M-1 does everything else for you at no additional cost. Of course this feature is exclusive to the M-1, and is not available from any other interlock manufacturer. Unlike all other interlocks you never have to loose a day’s pay, or inconvenience yourself by waiting in long lines to download your equipment.
• Automatic Vehicle Tracking and Recovery - An exclusive feature that is designed and implemented for the safe, expedient return of your vehicle in case of theft 24 hours per day, every day. This feature is standard operating procedure on the M-1, and as all the rest of our features there is no additional charge for this service.
• Positive identification - A feature that is standard on the M-1 and was a first in the ignition interlock industry. It protects you, the probationer, from violating your probation in cases where someone else may be driving your vehicle, have a few drinks, and record a violation on your interlock. If this were to happen with any other manufacturer’s equipment, you would loose your probation and possibly get incarcerated for something you did not do! Interceptor, It's Not Just The Smart Choice... It's The Only Choice!

 

Interceptor’s M-1 ignition interlock system is comprised of a Breath Test Module, Car Control Module, and Positive Identification Module. Once installed in your vehicle, the M-1 operates as follows:

1. Place key in ignition and turn to "ON" position.
2. A voice prompt will say "Please Wait".
3. Within 20 seconds you will hear another voice prompt "Please Provide A Sample", then 2 short beeps. Simply press the Breath Test Module against your lips, and exhale for 6 seconds.
4. At the beginning of the exhale, and for the duration of the breath test, you will hear a steady tone. This tone assures you of a proper breath sample. At the end of the breath test, you will hear two more tones indicating that the breath sample has been completed. If the breath test is not correct, you will hear "Invalid Sample, Please Try Again". However, if the breath sample is accepted and your breath alcohol concentration (BAC) is okay, you will hear "You May Start The Vehicle".
5. Turn your ignition key to start, and drive away. Keep in mind that throughout your drive at random intervals, you will be asked to provide additional breath samples. These breath samples are administered by you in the same fashion as the start sequence. It’s that simple!
